Yo, everyone! Ssuupp?
It’s been a long time. Hope you are all alive and awesome.
Welcome to the new issue of The Hustle Book. We have crossed 100 subs recently, thanks for all the love and blessings for Fueler. All of you are incredible, I mean it 🥁
Also, I have updated my about page
💭 So, what’s with BLR, Riten?
So recently I have shifted to Bangalore for an undecided time. I’m really excited about this new chapter of my life of living in a new city, exploring, meeting new people, and making magic happen.
I’m highly looking forward to meeting some ambitious folks here in BLR, and be a part of different events happening around here in the city.
I got a cute little stay here in HSR — didn’t have much time to explore around considering so many things currently happening at Fueler.
One thing I’m really happy about these days — we have crossed 50 customers milestone and this absolutely feels so amazing ngl. If you are interested in joining - here is the link. Soon we are hitting 100 milestone too.
If you are someone new to Fueler — Fueler is the first online platform that helps individuals land opportunities using their Proof of Work instead of resumes and CVs. We are building GitHub for Knowledge Workers. Currently 25,000+ strong in the community 💪
🔭 The Future
I’m really excited about the future of work and education and the integral role of Proof of Work in it.
I have been writing and tweeting about Proof of Work since January, 2021. It always baffles me with the potential of what it can enable for an individual in their career and life. It will all feel like magic when you have proof of work upfronts and the brands are willing to work with you.
🧠 Naval on Future of Work
You can also watch Naval sharing his thoughts on the Future of Work - Click here
“….super high-quality work will be available in a gig fashion where you'll wake up in the morning your phone will buzz and you'll have five different jobs from people who have worked with you in the past or have been referred to you it's kind of like how Hollywood already.
Works a little bit with how they organize for a project you decide where to take the project or not the contract is right there in the spot you get paid a certain amount you get rated every day or every week you get the money delivered and then when you're done working you turn it off and you go to Tahiti or wherever you want to spend the next three months…”
Now this is super early to say if the same is going to happen or not but one thing I’m really sure is be it any format, your proof of work always going to be a credible piece of information for your personal brand. That’s why keep creating your proof of work :)
😤 First-time founders
Startup founders might look okay or say okay but deep down they are battling through these two moods the entire time:
This might seem funny but it is true. Every first-time founder would be able to relate to this. Yet the majority of them won’t complain about it and still give their 100% everyday. They will have countless tabs on their mind running to take care of different things in a startup - especially when you are an early-stage startup and you are operating from a state of very limited resources.
Trust me it’s really hard to build a startup — I’m sure you have heard that line countless times but most of the time having no idea what exactly makes it that hard. Even if it’s hard, there are some crazy people who would jump into it. The majority of the time you will have no idea what you are signing up for when you are deciding to build a startup.
Only 5% of them make it with some light at the end of a never-ending tunnel. Unfortunate but true. And this will involve countless factors we cannot even imagine
Well, here are some of my best read on startups from Paul Graham
Pro tip: print these articles and read them every week. Here’s why
❤️🔥 The fire
Few days back I was reading something that goes “All you got is fire in you”. That fire has to keep going. The fuel for your fire is nothing but your purpose. Fire is nothing but your energy and attention for things you desperately want in life.
I’m forever grateful for any support we get for Fueler in our journey. I feel it’s our privilege to be able to contribute to a cause where our community members value them selflessly. Any form of support or positive words we get to hear is something we are grateful for beyond what we can express.
I come from a farming family — both from my father’s and mother’s side. It’s just my a/ father (among his 5 other siblings) who battled his way to join the armed forces during his early 20s. And this today has given me the opportunity to see and explore the other part of the world or else I would have never come out of the small village in my state, Tripura. And b/ my mother who has equal credit for helping me cultivate discipline, morals, and the right perspective to see and face the ever-changing world.
You can say, I got lucky and everything is like a privilege to me. My parents might not have a good educational background but they gave their 100% for my future with whatever they could.
And nothing fires me up more than a feeling to do something useful for the world that will create opportunities and abundance for more people like me coming from the remotest part of a country.
Probably, this is one of the reasons, I’m able to connect to the majority of our community members and the things we can do to help them grow in their careers and life. Hence today we are a community of 25,000 amazing people around the world.
Last, but not least, I wish you nothing but the same fire within you so that nobody can stop you from pursuing and doing greatness ✊
Until next time. Thank for reading
